UAS Regulations

As of April 2019, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA has published 2nd edition Advisory Cirulars:

UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEM OPERATIONS IN NIGERIA’S AIRSPACE – GUIDANCE
The layout of the document has been amended to more clearly separate Civil and Military guidance and as such the Chapters have changed in many areas. In addition, while there are many minor textual changes to the document, a significant revision has been made in many areas and as such it is recommended that those involved in RPAS/UAS operations review the entire content of the document to ensure that they are fully cognisant with the update.

THE FIVE PHASE PROCESS CERTIFICATION FOR REMOTELY PILOTED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS OPERATIONS CERTIFICATE
This Advisory Circular (AC) is issued to provide general information and guidance to applicants for the certification and approval of organisations and operators of RPAs in compliance with the Civil Aviation Regulations. This document also provides guidance to NCAA staff on the processing of operators certificate and approvals. While this document prescribes a means of compliance with legislation, alternate procedures demonstrating an equivalent or greater level of safety may be considered on a case by case basis.
